At cosmeticSEO.com, we often recommend that you, as a plastic surgeon, provide your users and visitors with expert advice when they navigate to your cosmetic surgery practice Web site - but just what does that mean?

Of course we can’t expect that you have so much ample free time in your schedule that you’ll be able to blog everyday or generate all the Web content that appears on your site - after all, that is what you hired a marketing firm for, right? - but by setting down and contributing authentic, authoritative text to your marketing materials, you are undoubtedly creating a unique source of information on the over-populated Internet.

It is no surprise that about 46% of all blogs out there are related to the technological industry. These professional and amateur bloggers are playing on their home turf, more or less, and are reaping the lucrative benefits of rapid content publication.

These techies are able to gain users and increase their business’ or their own residual incomes because they are writing about what they are good at. They simply write “what they know.”

You too can achieve the same results - and what great odds you face! Just think; you can quite easily increase your practice’s book of business tenfold if you - a board certified physician - sit down and blog, say, once, maybe twice, a week.

Right now, blogs relating to the healthy industry are tied for the third lowest position as far as their frequency among categorical statistics is concerned (see image below). That means, you are going against some of the weakest competition out on the Internet. The chance you have to separate yourself from the pack is so great that I can’t help but think it is only a matter of time until one surgeon becomes the ‘rockstar of the online cosmetic surgery community.’
