Thinking about the Future of Internet Advertising

Filed under: News — Tags: — Jeffrey @ 5:29 pm

While the revenue earned from Internet advertising is still in the black, its growth is beginning to dwindle. Many factors are undoubtedly contributing to such figures - with the entirety of the US economy casting a depression on all forms of advertising - online marketing barring no exception.

It is, however, notable to add that online advertising is rather strong compared to its traditional media counterparts; and unlike print, television and radio outlets, there is plenty of frontier left to conquer.

One can not discount the value of Internet advertising due to the simple fact that it is still very much in its infancy. While paid search, ad spots and banner placements have been the norm for quite some time now, the potentials of social networking and contextual/semantic advertising have yet to be discovered.

Amidst much uncertainty in these troubling times, one can be sure that becoming an early approacher in a market frontier that requires very mild overhead is a lucrative investment that will only appreciate as time goes on.
